Book a game drive and spend the day in the wild. On Sundays Glen Afric serves a delicious buffet for guests. Their restaurant over looks the wild life that they accommodate. Sundays at around lunch time you may be lucky enough to feed the elephants who also come round for their weekly buffet.
Take the family to Amazingwe for a fantastic day out in the air. Ride their zip line over the tree canopy and see how much of their wildlife you can spot.
Take a drive down the mountain to Paddle Power and book your ride down the same river you will be overlooking every day you stay at Oppiberg Guest House.
Take the family out for an exciting day with some big cats. You can take a tour through the lion enclosures or interact with a few lion cubs. If this seems too scary you could always feed the giraffes and ostriches.
Only about a 20 Km drive from Oppiberg you will find Bill Harrop's. Book one of their Balloon Safaries for a spectacular and unique view of the Hartbeespoortdam

Hiking trail: Mountain Route - Up the “koppie” to a one in a million view of the dam. It is not a steep climb as you follow the marked line on the google map along the slope of the koppie. ( Map available for you to take in the flip file )
Hiking trail: River route - Go through the small “kloof” following the marked line on the google map to reach the clearing from where you can view the Crocodile river, observe the beautiful indigenous bush, Walk down to the riverfront and enjoy. ( Map available for you to take in the flip file )
OPPIBERG RIVERFRONT PICNIC AREA
Picnic next to the river, or bring your fishing rod. We will be able to pack a wonderful basket for you. You can reach the picnic area either by hiking down. Or by driving down with our 4x4 route. The road to drive is a bit rough and it will not be advisable to drive in anything other than a 4x4 vehicle.
